Coast Guard rescues 2 near Little Egg Inlet, N.J.

LITTLE EGG INLET, N.J. - The Coast Guard rescued two people aboard a 40-foot boat near Little Egg Inlet, N.J., after receiving a call from a member of Tow Boat U.S. reporting a 40-foot boat had run aground and was taking on water Monday, Sep. 7, 2009. A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., arrived on scene and hoisted the two people aboard the helicopter and transported them to the air station where they were transferred to awaiting medical personnel.
